CEREC - CAD/CAM or Same Day Dentistry

CEREC (Same Day Dentistry) is the shorten term for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic
Ceramics, or CEramic REConstruction.   Current technology allows our dentists at Dental Associates, PC in West Des Moines the ability to take impressions quickly with a computer aided design/computer and generate a precisely fitting tooth, bridge or crown.

How does CEREC benefit our patients?

Convenience is the biggest advantages of CEREC.  If you need a crown, inlay, or onlay, you can
get your teeth restored during a single trip to Dental Associates, PC. Traditionally, this would require that you take at least two trips to the dentist and must wait two to three weeks before your dental procedure was complete.

By using a digital impression of your teeth, our dental staff will create a zirconia crown that matches the color and shape of the tooth or teeth that are replaced.

This is service at Dental Associates, PC provides fantastic for teeth damaged by accidents, decay or simple wear and tear of daily living.

Crowns are used for a variety of dental procedures.  Cracked, broken, misshapen or missing teeth are appropriate reasons for a crown.

Dental Associates, PC in West Des Moines can provide this dental procedure with our Same Day Dentistry technology with the CEREC CAD / CAM digital equipment.  In the past you would be required to at least two visits and would need to wear a temporary crown for two to three weeks before the entire procedure was complete

Inlays and onlays are pieces that are bonded to the damaged area of the tooth.  These procedures use to require two visits in order to complete the treatment. Today Dental Associates, PC in West Des Moines can provide Same Day Dentistry with our CEREC technology.

The dental procedure where a bridge is required is when a device, sometimes called a fixed partial denture, is needed to replace the space where a tooth or teeth are missing.  During the treatment, a fixed bridge is bonded into place and then can only be removed by a dental professional. The other option is a removable bridge that can be taken out and cleaned.  Fixed bridges are more desirable as they offer more stability than a removable bridge.

This is another procedure that can be provided to you with your Same Day Dentistry at Dental Associates, PC.  In just one visit that will be a couple of hours, you can complete the entire process and have your bridge placed.
